Tuesday Night!! Beans, Beans, and more beans!

Who doesn't love beans? Well actually a couple of my kids....so what can I do with the dry beans I have stored? Come on Tuesday, June 15th and find out! Food Storage Fun!

I will also be demonstrating the Cuisinart Electric Pressure cooker....chicken tacos anyone?

Food Storage group~May

How is everyone getting along with their food storage inventory? Remember...that was your homework! It will be interesting to see what you have AND what you DON"T have!

Come and have some fun learning about MAGIC MIX. Magic Mix is a great mix that uses powdered milk, butter and flour to make sauces, cream soups, puddings etc. It is awesome and I use it a lot. The pudding is fantastic! Rose will be making some pudding for us to taste!

Remember, we are using the book, "I Can't Believe It's Food Storage" as our textbook. If you need a copy they are available though Amazon.com

We will try again to start the buying group. We all thought we needed to inventory before we could decide what to purchase. Bring $20 cash if you want to join in.

We met again last night to talk about menus...which we changed to "what's for Dinner", shopping lists for storage--Pantry and 3-month. We have decided to use the book; I Can't Believe It's Food Storage" as our textbook for the group. You can order them online @ Amazon for a good price. We held off on the buying group until next month AFTER we have inventoried what we have stored. We met a nice gal named Rose...who is very sweet and has lots of good information to share. Welcome Rose! She came with April Carson..thanks for bringing her !

Next month we will be learning about Magic Mix and all it's wonderful uses...puddings, cream-based soups, white sauce. You won't want to miss it!

Homework!

Hello all....our last group meeting was a success. We had a great time talking about acquiring a 3 month supply of food for our families. We tasted some freeze-dried fruit and laughed and talked! It was fun. I also gave homework: Plan a 2 week menu and a shopping list to go with it. Go ahead and plan the shopping list for all the items you will need for those meals....even if you have the food in your pantry. Bring it with you to the next meeting.
The buying group will be starting this month. Jeanette Bigelow will be our first "buyer". We will decide what to purchase @ our next meeting. Bring $20 cash with you if you want to participate.
